Today was a quick review day for the team. After splitting into their respective groups, the teams had some time to themselves to go over what kind of information they needed to add to their analysis.

The coordinators went around to each group to go over their analysis maps. Some groups went with arrows and blocks to color to identify current circulation paths and site inventory while other groups used trace paper to layer information like existing irrigation and topography. No matter what methods they used, each group did a very thorough job, leaving the coordinators with little comments to add to their work.

Each group had some unique challenges they discovered through site analysis. For example, the parking lot group had many desired pathways within their site. The meadow group had to design for the site to be trampled all the time, while the bioswale group needs to design for the extremely wet and shady conditions. Lastly, the sign group has the big responsibility of designing the entrance to the school, and has to choose plants that will not block the sign.

The BOG group also did an analysis of their site, and while they already have a mostly set plant list, their site will have the highest plant diversity and will also be growing on some extreme grading conditions.

The next step would be for the teams to create initial bubble diagram designs and potential plant lists.
