September is slowly coming to an end which means we are looking for a group of interns! This new school year will be a little different from what we're used to. We've adjusted our internship to safely function during this pandemic. All sessions, until in-person meetings are deemed safe, will be virtual and primarily focus on design work.
As much as we are excited to begin this new school year, we also want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the work we've done since 2018. So far, we've had the opportunity to work with three amazing cohort of student interns to design 5 sites over the years! Listed below are our completed/pending projects and partners. For more information about the projects and a glimpse into the design+planting process, take a look at "Portfolio" on our website.
COMPLETED SITES
May 2018 | Marguerite Montgomery Elementary School Partners: Judy Leatherman (has moved onto other works since 2019) & Anne Slinkard
June 2019 | Birch Lane Elementary School Partners: Jenn Rogge
December 2019 | Montgomery Ave Partners: Pat Reynolds
In Progress | Fairfield Elementary School Partners: Jonathan Defty
In Progress | Cesar Chaves Elementary School Partners: Environmental Education Program
Joining our team this year are Jessica Yu and Nou Moua. They both have worked with us as interns in 2018 and student coordinators in 2019. This summer, Jessica moved on to focus more on Project Invigorate's Grant Readiness & Compatibility. Her role is to research grants and review their requirements and criteria to best prepare our application materials. Nou on the other hand, has been working on updating the existing website with our newest information & accomplishments.
